Elaflex Chemical Hose & Fittings

EN 12115:2011 chemical and pharma hoses manufactured to exacting quality standards by Elaflex in Germany. The hoses are available with a very extensive range of end fittings and accessories to suit every installation and requirement.

Type SD: hoses and hose assemblies for suction and delivery duty

Burst pressure is 4x nominal pressure

Elaflex PAL - CHD/CHS (Ω/T) Hose

Elaflex PAL – CHD/CHS (Ω/T)

PN 16, temperature -40°C – 100°C

EPDM, black, smooth, seamless, electrically conductive liner with textile braids (CHS with galv. Steel helix) reinforcement. EPDM cover, electrically conductive, resistant against ozone. Application: general acids like hydrochloric acid and alkali like sodium hydroxide. Not useable at all for oily products.

Elaflex PAL - Tecnopal (Ω/T) Hose

PN 16, temperature -40°C – 100°C

EPDM, black, smooth, seamless, electrically conductive liner with textile braids (form SD with additional galv. steel helix) reinforcement. EPDM cover, electrically conductive, resistant against ozone. Application: general acids like hydrochloric acid and alkali like sodium hydroxide, acetates, aldehydes, esters, ketones, hot water. Not useable at all for oily products.

NBR 2 special liner, blue, smooth, seamless, electrically conductive with textile braids (form LMS with additional galv. steel helix) reinforcement. NBR/PVC special compound (DN63 and larger- chloroprene CR) cover, black, electrically conductive, ozone resistant , UV resistant. Application: Chemical hose for alkalis, acids, acetates, aldehydes, amines, esters, and ketones. not suitable for aromatic, aliphatic, halogenated hydrocarbons and their derivatives.

PN 16, temperature -20°C – 80°C

NBR 2 special lining, blue, smooth, seamless, electrically conductive with textile braids (form SD with additional galv. steel helix) reinforcement. Special compound cover, ozone-, UV- and flame- resistant, electrically conductive. Application: Solvent hose for most solvents, paints (also water- based), water lacquer, petroleum products, alcohols, aldehydes, esters and ketones. In short term operation also suitable for aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons.

PN 16, temperature -30°C – 100°C

UPE, white, with conductive OHM spiral stripe, smooth, abrasion resistant liner, no discoloration, conductive, meets FDA regulations with thermoplastic braids (UTS with galv. steel helix) reinforcement. EPDM (EPT) cover, black, conductive, ozone resistant, UV resistant, flame resistant. Application: universal hose, solvents up to 100% aromatic content, acids and alkalis, suitable for AdBlue, not for brominated hydrocarbons and sulfuric acid of more than 75% concentration.

PN 16, temperature -30°C – 100°C

UPE, black, smooth, electrically conductive liner with textile braids (form SD with additional galv. steel helix) reinforcement. EPDM cover, black, conductive, ozone resistant , UV resistant. Application: universal chemical hose with seamless black conductive UPE lining. For almost all liquid and pasty chemical and petroleum based products and solvents.

FEP, seamless, transparent, smooth bore, electrically non- conductive liner, meets FDA regulations with textile braids, form SD additionally with galvanised steel helix reinforcement. EPDM cover, electrically conductive, lightgrey with OHM- conductive stripe (up to DN50) or black (DN63- DN100), abrasion, flame and weather resistant. Application: universal hose for nearly all media.

PTFE, electrically conductive, black, seamless, smooth bore liner, meets FDA regulations with high- tensile, temperature resistant, textile braids (form SD additionally with galvanised steel helix) reinforcement. EPDM cover, electrically conductive, black, abrasion, flame and weather resistant. Application: universal hose for nearly all media, electrically conductive.

CIIR (Chlorobutyl rubber), black, smooth, seamless liner, electrically conductive, diffusion resistant with textile braids (form SD with additional galv. steel helix) reinforcement. CR (Chloroprene) cover, black, electrically conductive, ozone resistant, UV resistant. Application: Chemical hose for alkalis, acids, acetates, aldehydes, amines, esters, and ketones. Not suitable for aromatic, aliphatic, halogenated hydrocarbons and their derivatives.

PN 16, temperature -30°C – 100°C

UPE bright, with OHM conductive stripe liner, no discoloration, abrasion resistant, electrically. conductive, meets FDA regulations with textile braids (SD with addl. galv. steel helix) reinforcement. EPDM light-grey cover, ozone-, UV- and flame- resistant, electrically conductive. Application: as Chemopal above but with clean rubber compounds, for foodstuff, cosmetics etc. rubber confirms to FDA.

Electrical Performance

M – conductive ≤10^2 Ω

Hose lining is conductive due to Metallic connections of the metallic hose parts (helix, copper wire) with the metal couplings, no conductivity through the hose wall itself.

Ω – conductive ≤10^6 Ω

Hose lining is conductive due to at least one conductive rubber layer (liner or cover Ω-C), no conductivity through the hose wall itself

M / T – conductive EN 12115:2011 ≤ 10^2 Ω

M-hose and conductive through the hose wall (≤ 10^9 Ω)

Ω / T – conductive EN 12115:2011 ≤ 10^6 Ω.

Ω – hose and conductive through the hose wall (≤ 10^9 Ω). This is the safest hose in terms of avoiding the formation of sparks under all conditions.
